The game is rather hardcore than it looks. I jumped in expecting a casual 2d pixel shooter but was met with a surprisingly realistic depiction of the Vietnam War. There are multiple points in the game where I had gotten stuck not knowing what to do to progress, however, the devs are pretty quick to address the questions and I have managed to clear the game. Although I finished the game and would recommend it, I cannot help but mention my chief complaint with this game-it cannot decide what it wants to be. For a 2D shooter, I have found the controls very uncomfortable when playing with a mouse and a keyboard and the limited ammo and health does not provide the satisfaction of a shoot em up game. If you are looking for a shoot em up, this game is not for you. The devs and the overall gameplay emphasizes that this was not meant to be a shoot em up game but rather more of a story that is set in the Vietnam War. However, despite that, the overall volume of the story is short, with many questions that are left hanging and not answered even at the completion of the game. I loved the artworks and the visuals, but overall, I was rather disappointed at how the overall story felt incomplete. Overall, I'd rate this a 7/10, a good time killer, and worth it when you could get it on sale. And please do use a controller as it makes it a lot easier.
