Comes with twenty famous Black Powder Era battles including Waterloo, Gettysburg (all 3 days), Little Big Horn (with alternative scenarios including Gatling guns and four extra companies of cavalry), Antietam, Quatre Bras, Ligny, Waterloo, 1st Bull Run, Manassas Campaign, Shiloh, Saratoga and many, many more.

Play in either Game Mode or Simulation Mode. Game mode is designed to be a fast, introductory wargame that utilizes the same historically accurate maps but employs a simple combat resolution model. Simulation mode uses a detailed model of the battle. Orders are given by courier. Combat resolution is the result of equations that evaluate leadership, morale, expertise, range of weapons, accuracy curves, unit strength, etc.

Play against the MATE (Machine Analysis of Tactical Environments) 2.0 AI or PBEM (Play by EMail) against a human opponent.

Select Total Fog of War, Partial Fog of War, or No Fog of War. Fog of War is calculated using 3D Line of Sight and Visibility conditions set for that battle.

Simulation Mode uses couriers to deliver your orders. Plan your moves in advance and coordinate your forces to achieve victory.
