I will be honest. I bought this game just because I get to see Estelle Bright again. Cold Steel in general absolutely failed to impress me in any way. This game has so many story and game mechanic choices that I absolutely can't stand, and It has been painful for me to play. Falcom's strength was giving really fresh perspectives to tried and tested character tropes and taking the concept of character development to its absolute limit. None of that Falcom's strengths are found in this game. In fact, every character has been so watered down that characters from the previous series look less interesting. A lot of NA Falcom fans will hate me for saying this, but it feels as though the storyline was planned perfectly, but the execution and dialogues were so poor and cringe-worthy that it felt like a parody of early 2000s shonen manga with some Evangelion thrown in it. I look forward to Hajimari because I've heard that they finally fixed these issues.
