느린 템포에 도시경영이 쉽지 않은 게임. 주민 만족도 올리는 방법이나 노하우를 익히는데 상당히 어렵다. 필자도 작년에 도전했다가 당췌 어떻게 해야하는지 몰라서 때려치웠는데, 미련이 남아서 붙잡고 하다보니 그랜드캠페인 4번째 이지 시나리오까지 왔다. 게임하면서 제일 이해하기 어려운 것은 각종 상품이나 서비스들이 주민들에게 얼마나 들어가는지, 얼마나 부족한지를 명확하게 알 수가 없다. 마찬가지로 상점에서 해당 물품이 얼마나 확보되있는지, 파라오처럼 수치로 확인할 수 없고, 나타난 메시지(가득참, 적당함, 적음 등)으로 대충 알아들어야함. 또한 서비스가 어디까지 제공되는지, 주민들은 얼마나 멀리있는 자원이나 시설에 도달하는지, 시설의 서비스수용량 등은 얼마나 많은지 어디까지 서비스하는지 등등 주민서비스에 대한 것이 너무나 두리뭉실하다. 또한 임프레션게임처럼 변화를 주었을 때, 바로 반영되는 것이 아니라 시간이 지나야 알 수 있다. 무역도 기존 임프레션게임과는 다르게 감독관에서 수입수출을 정하는 것이 아니라 이미 정해져있는 품목을 식량을 지불해서 무역을 유지할지 말지 토글형식으로 이루어진 버튼을 눌러 진행된다. 즉, 매년 식량을 지불하여 물건을 사거나 팔거나 하는 것이다. 거기에 비한글은 덤. 하지만 어느정도(필자는 10시간 정도 꼬라박았다;) 하다보면 감이 슬슬 들게 되서 그 때부터 본격적으로 도시경영을 하게 된다. 영문이지만 가이드도 있고, 건설경영시뮬 네이버카페에 누군가 올려둔 레이아웃이 있는데, 참고하면 아주 좋다. 다만 주의할 것은 반드시 첫 고위직 공무원은 프리스트로 하고 반드시 교육부터 시켜야한다. 안그러면 더이상 고위 공무원이 안 나와서 진행이 안된다. 고위직은 교육이 제일 우선이다. 저장을 가급적 자주할 것을 권한다. 생각보다 버그가 많고 튕김도 잦다. 심지어 튕긴 후 로딩이 안되서 조질 수 있으니 자동저장은 필수. GOG판은 어떨지 모르겠다. 공략과 자료는 건설경영시뮬 네이버카페에 있고, cotn heaven 이라는 영문사이트도 있다. 여기서 클리어세이브 받아서 보면 대충 어떻게 지어야하는지 감을 잡기 더 쉬워질 것이다. 이렇게 우여곡절 끝에 도시를 어느정도 완성하고 사진찍으면 꽤나 그럴싸한 장면이 나와서 나름 뽕이 찬다. 카메라 각도를 자유자재로 바꿀 수 있어서 잘 잡으면 멋진 풍경을 찍을 수 있다. 게임 익히는데 어려워서 그렇지...
