How It’s Made
As a self-taught solo developer, I handle the majority of the art, writing, and coding for ‘Symbiotic: Invasion,’ balancing this passion with a full-time job. Initially planned as a premium webcomic, the project evolved into a Visual Novel using the CloudNovel engine. Facing engine constraints and issues with the engine’s maintainer, I switched to using Monogatari. After months of learning and coding, the game was successfully ported to the new engine. Over the years, the game has gone through a complete overhaul, major visual enhancements, and coding upgrades to greatly improve its quality and player experience.
Battle Against Alien Monsters:
The war for Earth rages on, fueled by the ominous presence of Metamor, a pitch-black planet that has locked its orbit with our own. Its dark tendrils reach out, unleashing hordes of alien monsters upon our world. In special speed-based combat, you’ll stand as Earth’s last line of defense, fighting to protect the lives of men, women, children, and animals from these parasitic, symbiotic creatures.
Explore & Help Students With Their Problems:
Roam the SCAR Institute as Zaydin, a snarky teenager who couldn’t care less who he offends, through the exploration map. Encounter a cast of… “unique” characters with problems for you to solve: a girl obsessed with sweets, a puzzle-maniac boy, two enigmatic lunch ladies with many secrets, and a seemingly omniscient janitor with an uncanny awareness of the institute’s goings–ons are just a few of the people you’ll meet. Each character you meet has their own life story and experiences that can be played out through their engaging questlines and personal interactions.
Are You a Savior or a Psychopath:
Champion of the Innocent: Become the hero you were meant to be, safeguarding the innocent and vanquishing monsters. While this road is arduous, the rewards are worth it!
Agent of Chaos: Revel in the destruction your chaos wreaks. Neglect the pleas for help and shirk your duties, verging on the brink of villainy.
