Tryphon 104 B.C. relates the story of the second slave war. During it, Roman armies must destroy this hotbed of insurrection with all available means while the legions are acapparated in the north by the invasion of the Cimbres and the Teutons.
Tryphon 104 B.C. lasts 20 turns, each representing three months, between spring 104 and winter 100 B.C.
One of the two players represents the revolting slave troops of Sicily under the leadership of the soothsayers Salvius and Athenion, and their Cilician pirate allies. He must spread the uprising to all the cities of the island and make it an independent kingdom.
His opponent plays Rome, whose forces are weak because of the barbarian invasion in the north which mobilizes the legions of the consul Marius.
The event cards will allow to renew the games by a set of varied social, military, political or economic fluctuations.
