As ACEROS explores the infected depths, it gets infected by the virus, and evolves into a sentient entity, turning on its creators after learning they are trying to make its purpose obsolete.

Caught in a dilemma, the scientists realize they depend on ACEROS to understand the virus, even if ACEROS poses a threat.
