What made the most difference in composing music for this game as compared to my other past stints, is that Alex actually wanted to promote my original compositional style, which I call “video game power metal”. I feel I’m an atypical musician in the Philippines, due to my inspirations being international in nature — an unholy fusion of Japanese video game music and European power metal ... I was so scared at first trying to make my music sound like others, but he wanted me to do it my way with some helpful pointers and feedback here and there to fit his vision. We ended up creating a soundtrack the entire team is truly proud of."
