You've been tasked to saddle up in your 1984 RV and head to various locations to investigate the disappearance of campers, hikers, adventurers, and others lost in the woods. Your client is a cryptozoologist who wants to study cryptids and their behaviors, if not their actual existence. You have agreed to help him, for a moderate fee, to seek out these cryptids and capture them. Not kill, capture.

Cryptid Hunter is a 1st-person single player creepy horror game where you gather clues using a myriad equipment and traps. You need to identify the cryptid itself, then use analysis to determine what kind of bait to use for the trap. Oh yeah, which trap are you going to use? A giant cage? A net snare? A giant bear trap? Glue foam? Certain traps only work for specific cryptids. Fail to provide the right trap and the right bait, and you could end up being both.
