Cataverse MVP is an offline battle royale, where hundreds of cats select their next MVP as a way to sustain their coconut & fish based society. Teams are based around ethico-aesthetic paradigms chosen via a short quiz, with each member hurling insults rooted in their developmental stage of social maturation. The game's narrative and mechanics revolve around ascending the society's class structure, where altitude reflects social status, progression, and health—falling into the sea means a roguelike death reset. Defeated opponents become loyal followers, high ranking leaders herd cats together in large-scale gang warfare. Combat interaction is simple and incorporate principles of timing, range, poise.
