The Spiritual Barrier has been broken! It's up to you, and your guardian angel Yui to fix it! Travel the world and fight off demons from The Seven Deadly Sins in a quest to find The Seven Runes of Virtue! Can you fix The Spiritual Barrier and restore order to The Living Realm?
Platformer, RPG, and Rhythm Game?! Angels & Demons is a multi-genre mash up!
Travel the overworld in 2D platformer action! Take your time and explore, or make use of tons of different movement abilities to fly through rooms!
Chain together dashes to build speed, gain huge vertical momentum by speeding off of slopes, and much more!
Collide with an enemy to enter a turn-based battle!
Fight off enemies by Jumping, Melee attacking, or using unique special attacks!
But when it's the enemy's turn, things get crazy!
Keep yourself safe by utilizing different "Attack Styles" such as...
- Dodge! Move left, right, or up to avoid enemy attacks!
- Defend! Jump or melee to avoid or counter!
- Freestyle! Enter an arena, and control just like in the overworld! Avoid attacks using all your abilities!
- Sequence! Hit a series of inputs in order to parry or counter the enemy!
- Team Jump! Control two characters at once! Jump (or don't) to avoid incoming attacks!
- Mash! As the name implies, you'll mash an input as fast as you can to parry or counter the attack!
- Plus many more unique attack styles!
But hey, this is a rhythm game too right? Let's talk about the mania-style rhythm game!
- Play a four-key mania style rhythm game to get special items in-game, or just to beat your high-scores when played from the extras menu!
- Apply mods to increase or decrease the difficulty! Daycore slows the track down by 25%, Nightcore speeds it up by 50%!
- Each world has a unique track made specifically for it! Try and find them all!
- All battle themes have charts! You can even unlock the rhythm game as a special attack later on!
- EVERY SONG has four different difficulties! Easy, Normal, Hard, and Expert! Whether you're new to rhythm games, or a rhythm champion—there's a challenge for everyone!
It's you! While on a walk in the mountains one day, a large... crystal thing crashed right next to you, sending you flying off the cliff! Luckily, you were rescued by your guardian angel!
You're a pretty agile person. You can jump pretty high, run pretty fast, fight pretty good, and much more! You'll learn new abilities and gain more power as your adventure progresses!
This is Yui, your guardian angel! After saving you, the two of you must go on a quest to find The Seven Runes of Virtue and repair The Spiritual Barrier!
Since Yui is an angel, she has two forms. A human form, and an angel form. In her angel form, she can grant you some pretty crazy movement abilities! You can dash in eight different directions to cross large gaps or build up speed, she can spike you into the ground to break weak flooring, or she can even help you catch a gust of wind to glide through the air! Her human form is used primarily to blend in with humans (as angels sometimes do.) As such, she won't use any of her abilities or powers while in this state.
Hector Salvellotine! Super genius and current owner of Salvellotine Labs! We don't know much about his motivations, the purpose of his father's crystal-like machine... Well, we don't really know anything now that we're talking about it. I guess we'll learn more as time goes by!
Autumn Savael is Hector's lab partner. The two have known each other for quite a while, so they have a sort of sibling-like bond with one-another. Autumn is just as, if not more talented than Hector. Her greatest work is creating a fully autonomous android named "Kaguya."
The Gluttons have invaded the Dust'E'Rock Desert, and subsequently Dust'E'Town. They've afflicted the residents of this area with insatiable appetites! It's up to you to find The Rune of Temperance, and expel them from the area!
The Wrathful are pushing The Kingdoms of Cardenaria towards the brink of war! Possessing residents to fight, and poisoning communications between the rulers of each land! You'll have to play it safer here, being extra careful not to harm any possessed individuals! Find The Rune of Patience, and restore peace to Cardenaria!
