The Berlin Apartment
The Berlin Apartment is an episodic, first-person character-driven narrative exploration adventure game.
A handyman is tasked to refurbish an old apartment in the city of Berlin, Germany. In the course of his extensive renovation work, he digs deeper and deeper into the history of the apartment. Relics from past times turn out to be silent witnesses – and former companions – of the apartment's former inhabitants.
The story is told in a series of episodes over the course of 120 years. Each episode tells its own story – with its own protagonists, in its own genre, with a very different atmosphere. The connecting element, at least superficially, is a historic apartment in Berlin as the scene of the action.
