Ruins and Refuge is a first person roguelite dungeon crawler. Featuring:

Parry incoming damage to ready a devastating riposte
All weapons give you the ability to parry attacks, putting the aggressor in a disadvantaged state. Connect with a successful riposte to deal double damage, but watch out for enemy ultimate abilities!



Bash your enemies
Ruins and Refuge is focused on providing an enjoyable first person melee combat experience. Stun your foes with a bash, giving you time to ready your next attack or to dodge the incoming spells and arrows.



Watch for deadly traps
Throughout the dungeon lie hidden spikes, swing blades, pits and other traps to hinder your journey.



Choose your path
Select your Paladins abilities carefully to prepare you for the darkness ahead.



In Ruins and Refuge, you begin your trial with nothing but a basic longsword. As you progress through the dungeon, you will find new weapons and gear to help you slay the enemies in your path. Your goal is to discover the next Refuge point which will allow you to upgrade your characters abilities and choose new skills. Merchants are scattered throughout the dungeon giving you a place to rest, barter for new gear, or upgrade your items at a crafting station. Upon death, you will lose all your items, but you will keep your characters progress, gold, and respawn at your last Refuge. Most dungeons in Ruins and Refuge are hand crafted, but there is also a procedurally generated experience that ensures you will always have a fresh run.
