모든게 실시간으로 흘러가는 최초의 어드벤쳐게임. 영화에는 "닉 오브 타임"이 있다면 게임에는 "라스트 익스프레스"가 있다. 당시에는 꽤나 획기적이었고, 각종 리뷰의 찬사에도 불구하고 제작사와 유통사가 망해버린 탓인지 별로 팔리지 않은 비운의 명작. 기차 안에는 여러나라 승객들이 탑승해있는데 기본적으로 자막이 없는데다가 주인공이 알아듣는 외국어만 자막이 나와서 원어민이 아닌이상 앞으로 어떻게 행동해야하는지 어떻게 이야기가 흘러가고 있는지 이해하기가 힘들 듯하다. 대신 골드판에는 힌트가 포함되어서 막히더라도 힌트를 누르면 어떻게 행동해야하는지 상세하게 알려준다. 몇가지 단점은 스토리가 잘 나가다가 후반부에 뜸금없이 삼천포로 빠진다. 몇몇 등장인물도 동해번쩍 서해번쩍한다. 분명히 중간역에서 내려서 마차타고 떠났는데 후반부에 뜬금없이 나타나서 주인공을 방해한다. 등장인물의 이동시나 전투시에는 움직임이 초당 약 30프레임으로 부드럽게 흘러가지만 이벤트 영상 때는 초당 1~2프레임정도로 흘러가서 답답한 느낌이 있다. 골드판의 문제인지는 모르겠지만 이동시 한칸 이동했음에도 불구하고 더블클릭한 것처럼 계속 이동하는 버그가 있다. 특히 시간이 촉박한 시기 때는 환장할 노릇. 해당위치 클릭에 따라 전진, 후진, 좌, 우, 제자리회전을 하는 방식이라 잘 전진하다가도 화물칸같은 꺽어진복도 같은 곳이 나오면 제자리 회전하는 경우도 있다. 덕분에 가끔씩 방향을 잃기도... 도움말이나 현재 위치를 알려주는 자막이 뜰 때 폰트가독성이 너무나 떨어진다. 이거만 제외하면 괜찮은 게임.
