STORYLINE
After the mysterious catastrophe at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the exclusion zone became a place of strange and inexplicable phenomena. Eyewitnesses reported seeing intense, bright flashes in the north of the Zone. The Ukrainian government decided to investigate what was happening and sent a group of scientists to the "Zone", under military protection. However, the group disappeared without a trace. Their fate remains a mystery, shrouded in darkness. After the disappearance of the group, many stalkers tried to penetrate the northern part of the Zone, but they too disappeared without a trace. The Zone began to experience increased anomalous activity, strong psi-fields and new mutants appeared. Experienced stalkers speculate that it is precisely in the north, deep in the Zone, where inexplicable processes that give rise to anomalies and artifacts are taking place. However, no one can confirm or deny this - the radiation level there is off the charts, especially after the recent emissions.
