"Midnight Ramen" is a narrative dialogue game inspired by titles such as VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action and Coffee Talk, and is developed by the newly-established Cointinue Games studio.
In this game, players take on the role of a ramen stall owner and his apprentice Homura, operates a stand that only opens late at night, as well as. Together they work to run their stand, feed their customers, and help them solve their problems.

어서오세요~ 주문은 무엇으로 하시겠어요? :) Midnight Ramen은 자정에 라멘을 파는 붉은머리 소녀 호무라와 그리고 점장이 라멘을 팔면서 사람들의 이야기를 들어주고 마음을 달래주는 이야기의 게임이다. 본인은 처음에 이 게임이 타이쿤 스타일의 그저 손님들이 오면 제시한 라멘을 제공해주는 게임인 줄 알았지만, 사실 라멘만들기는 게임을 풀어가기위한 일종의 도구였을 뿐, 사실은 비주얼노벨에 더 가까운 게임이었다. 생각보다 많은 등장인물들이 등장하고, 각 캐릭터마다 가지고있는 사연이 다 달라서 캐릭터들마다 스토리를 보는 맛이 있었던 게임이었다. 처음에는 그냥 손님들의 마음을 풀어주는 그런 게임인 줄 알았는데, 스토리를 진행하다보니, 생각 외의 전개가 진행되었는데, 처음에는 이게 뭔 이야기야 했었는데, 계속 스토리를 진행하다보니 왜 해당 전개가 진행되었는지 알 수가 있었는데, 그 때부터 게임의 분위기가 점점 고조되면서 후반부에 감정이 최고치로 올라가는 클라이맥스로 다가간다. 마지막 의뢰인 [spoiler] 점장님 [/spoiler] 부분에서 각 캐릭터들의 감정선이 잘 보여주면서 엔딩을 맞이하는데, 처음에는 이게 엔딩인 줄 알았는데, 개발자분이 이후에 스토리 리와인드로 2개의 어나더 루트를 소개해주는데, 그 루트들을 진행하고 마지막 이야기를 진행하면 진엔딩을 볼 수 있는데, 진엔딩에서 맞이하는 해피엔딩을 보았을때는 가슴 한편으로 따뜻해지는 느낌을 받았다. 스토리 위주의 게임이다보니, 스토리를 스킵하지 않고 정독하는 것을 추천하는 게임이다. 만약 스토리를 스킵하면서 플레이하다보면 '집나가버린 개연성 아니냐, ''이게 무슨 판타지냐' 라는 생각을 할 수 있지만, 스토리를 정독하다보면, 사람들의 마음이 치유될수록 마음이 따뜻해지는 느낌을 받을 수 있을거라 생각한다. '커피토크'랑 비슷하다는 게임이라고 하는데, 본인은 커피토크를 하지 않아서 어떤 느낌인지 잘 모르겠지만, 개인적으로 스토리 위주의 게임으로는 올해 플레이했던 게임 중에는 단연 최고였던 게임이라고 생각한다. 영어와 일본어 그리고 중국어가 가능한 사람이라면 스토리를 스킵없이 보는 것을 추천한다. 여담) 업적의 경우, 게임을 하다보면 자연스럽게 달성하는 경우가 많다. 그렇더라도, 업적 설명을 보면서 다 해결할 수 있기 때문에 어렵지 않다. 스토리 챕터 기능을 이용할 수도 있어서 쉽게 업적 작업도 할 수 있다.
생각보다 훨씬 더 만족스러운 게임이었습니다. 라멘에 들어가는 재료들도 생생하게 구현되어 있고, 스프 종류도 다양한데다가 레시피에 맞추어 요리할 수 있도록 언제든 확인할 수 있다는 점도 좋았어요. 독특한 배경이나 등장인물들의 이야기도 좋았고요. 심지어 기대하지 않았는데 몇 가지 조건을 충족하면 시크릿 루트나 진엔딩을 볼 수 있게 해놔서 정말 깜짝 놀랐습니다!! 진엔딩 루트에서는 제법 엉엉 울었던 것도 같네요. 언제고 사회면에서 한 번은 접했을 법한 등장인물들의 사연도 그렇고, 주인공과 점장님의 이야기라던가 조직 이야기도 너무 복잡하지 않으면서 알기 쉽게 녹아 들어가 있었다고 생각해요. 따뜻하고, 귀엽고, 재미있는 게임이었어요. 스트레스 받지 않으면서 요리 게임 하고 싶은 분들에게 추천하고 싶습니다. 플레이타임이 조금 짧기는 한데, 언제는 원하는 날짜를 선택해서 다시 플레이할수도 있으니... 뭔가 무한 모드처럼 느긋하게 영업하는 것도 있으면 좋았겠다 싶지만 이것도 괜찮습니다. 게임하는 내내 라멘 먹고 싶어서 괴로웠다는 게 유일한 단점이었네요 ㅋㅋㅋ 아.. 맥주 따는 소리도 너무 리얼했습니다. 배고플 때 하면 야식 먹어버릴지도 모르는 게임입니다.
