Above the sea lies a kingdom run by fear and greed which keeps a short leash on its citizens, but you found a way to cut the leash. By the discovery of a body morphing spell with very few limitations, you enabled your escape into the sea, and ensured the spell would never fall into wrong hands. Now, Descended, you must utilize the spell to its fullest if you want to survive alongside the horrors of the depths, and grasp this chance at a new beginning and a grand adventure.

The abyss in which the game takes place is procedurally generated and will contain biomes such as Volcanic Trenches, Brine Mires, Worm Plains, and Seamounts.

While Descended is a fantasy game, it also teaches about our real world. It weaves gameplay mechanics around marine and environmental science such as marine snow, source populations and invasive species. Its flora, fauna, and ecosystems are inspired by Earth's, and it treats ideas of deep sea settlements and genetic manipulation.
