Set in a Renaissance world devastated by a magical apocalypse, humanity's few remaining survivors retreat before the relentless onslaught of orcish hordes. The last kingdom rallies around Aldrick, a mercenary leader promoted to lord by the deaths of all the nobles he used to serve.
