Dreamslayer is a student project developed in Unreal Engine 5 as a part of the year-long Diploma of Information Technology: Game Art and Design, Game Programming at Swinburne University of Technology. Each class group becomes a development team working on a single game project, from conception all the way to public release.

Slay Your Demons

Dreamslayer is an epic fantasy first-person hack’n’zap swarm arena game with retro styling. Play as Argeniton, a holy warrior ascended to dragon form, as a demon invasion engulfs your world from beyond the stars.

Roused to war, you cross the dimensional threshold to confront Demon Lord Xondadus in his floating citadel of Cazardia, only to be trapped in an endless nightmare.

Your dragon form is stripped from you. But this is not defeat. This is your final test. Defeat the hordes, confront Xondadus, regain your power, and break the dream – only then could you truly take your place amongst the gods.
