Interact with some of the biome specific mechanics:

-Go for a swim and catch schools of minnows with your hand crafted fishing net.
-Chase down salamanders with your trusty poking stick, or shoot them with your bow and arrows.

Learn by doing:

-Learn how to make a minnow offering for the stone shrine, the biomes main point of interest.
-Gather biome specific resources like snowberries and willow vines.
-Use these resources to craft stuff you need to craft more stuff!
