- Play as Soldier - who was abandoned by the military command on an alien planet and who has to take the command in his own hands to escape the war and save his life

- Play as Operator - an independent agent operating on the fringes of known space, looking to make profit

Gameplay mechanics in Story Campaign mode:

Allies will automatically follow the player and attack enemies in range. The player's primary job is to gather a large force of allied troops, and then defeat enemy troops by tactically balancing his own position in a way that protects his allies from harm while also keeping himself alive.

Game length: 10+ hours in Survivor mode and 3+ hours in Story Campaign mode.
