Vermin is a first-person survival horror game

Set in the wake of a nuclear disaster, in the oppressive 1990s, Soviet Union. You hunt radioactive creatures, as you struggle to quench the ever growing appetite of your heart. Riddled with guilt, you cannot live with yourself, what youve done, what father has asked of you, you plead, desperately, to be set free, WHY WONT HE ANSWER?

The forest will test you, the unrelenting atmosphere is omnipresent, and the items you find will only give you momentary hope. Your shotgun has only a single barrel, combat is out of the question.. a last resort of sorts, if you were unfortunate enough..

GAMEPLAY

Armed with only a rusty shotgun and a geiger counter, you venture into the dark forest in search of anything you can feed the heart, much like the forest, it feeds on pain. You must manage your tiny 4 slot inventory to the best of your ability, and keep radiation flowing through your veins, that thing is never too far behind you. Scavenge, hunt and explore the pain ridden forest, your body contorts and begins to mutate from your victims, you'll take anything you can.

ENVIRONMENT

A strange, cold forest, with trees extending far out of sight. A fog has settled on the area, with the occasional ray of light reminding you of what the world once was. The creatures, at least the ones who survived- sustained life altering mutations, they suffer, but the forests grasp only tightens.- fed by pain, the forest seems to have a life of its own, cannibalising the very creatures that inhabit.
