Dicey Chess is a chess game in which the throw of the die decides how far you can move, adding a layer of unpredictability to every move.
Key Features
Highly Customizable
Die Ranges: Make the pawn be able to walk between 1 and 3 or even 1 and 7 cells by modifying its die.
Piece Types: Randomize the types of pieces you will be playing with. You could end up with 10 rooks or even 5 kings requiring your enemy to capture all of them to win.
Piece Movements: Randomize the way your pieces can move. Have the pawn move like a knight or the rook like a bishop. Even combinations are possible.
Turn Timer: Set your own pace with customizable turn timers. Or if you are feeling lucky you can also randomize it!
Play Anywhere: Challenge friends online or over a local network, or go up against a powerful Bot.

체스에 주사위를 더한 게임으로, 움직일 말을 선택 후 주사위를 굴려 그 주사위 눈 만큼 움직이는 규칙이 존재한다. 그 외로 체크가 되었음에도 캐슬링이 가능하거나, 프로모션은 잡힌 기물이 있을 때만 가능하는 등 약간의 규칙 변형이 존재하는 것이 특징이다. 아쉬운 점이라 한다면 AI가 그리 좋지 않다는 것이다. AI가 3가지 난이도로 있는데, 정작 셋 다 다른 점을 느끼지 못하겠으며, 같은 수를 반복해서 두는 등 수 낭비가 심한 편이다. 전반적인 평가로는 체스에 확률을 추가한다는 괜찮은 소재지만, AI 수준이 긴장감을 유발하지 않아 그닥 재밌다 느끼지 못했다. 허나 최근 업데이트가 올해 3월인 점을 감안하여 지속적인 업데이트가 이뤄지고 있다고 생각한다면, 괜찮은 게임이 될 것 같다는 생각이 든다. 그런 의미로 일단 추천을 눌렀다. 가격은 6700원으로 게임 분량에 비해 상당히 비싸다. 할인할 때 사는 것이 좋아보인다. 참고로 본인은 할인을 통해 1070원에 구매했다.
