Block Arena is a parry focused rogue-like action game where the player must survive the enemies and defeat them by parrying their attacks. Player can unlock new shields with unique traits and skills. Pick a shield and create your own unique build each run and conquer the Block Arena!

Game Mechanics

Enemy attacks appear on the board as . When the attack icon grows into the fullest size it indicates the execution of an attack on that position. When attack executes and the player at that position fails to parry the attack, they will receive damage.

If the player is able to parry the attack with right mouse-click then the player deals damage to the enemy instead. The player must be careful and strategic when parrying because it consumes a charge. Players cannot perform parries when out of charges and will have to wait for its cooldown to replenish.

Block Types

Useful blocks spawn on the board by parrying and skills. Player can interact with them with left mouse-clicks, and each gives a special effect:
boosts damage on next parry
reduces parry cooldown
spawns blocks and have a small chance to heal

The accumulated bonus damage from will be reset back to zero on parries.

Perfect Parries

When the player can time the parry near the very end of an attack it is a perfect parry, which will not consume a charge, it will also not reset any bonus damage from . Mastering perfect parrying will be the key to success.

Special Block Types

Player will also come across special blocks throughout each run, these could be chests, environmental, buff and debuffs. Be careful and try to quickly adapt to the BlockArena!
