WHAT IS SHEEP LASS
Sheep Lass: Quest Zero is a action adventure game inspired by the original Zelda, Adventure on the Atari and Indie titles like Fear and Hunger, explore a wide non-linear playspace to find and explore dungeons to fight monsters and claim treasure. SLQZ is a intentionally minimalist game, i want the game to feel like an imposing wilderness and to that end i did not include many of the quality of life features people expect in this genre. There is a large world but no map or quest markers, there is a Limit on how many items you can carry at once and you'll need to make tactical decisions on when to leave tools behind to carry new ones, and exclusive to Quest Zero, there is a limited number of lives before you are sent to the beginning. I want to make a game that places a priority on knowledge and system, and foster a adversarial relationship between you and the game. if thats not what you're looking for this game might not be for you. so have fun! if you dare
OBJECTIVE OF THE QUEST - Find your boyfriend
Artigall, Squire to Talus the Just, discovered a secret and evil ritual being performed by Radigund High priestess and advisor to the king. Together you and him travel to the Lordship of Talus to expose this looming danger, but the night before arrival, he disappears. retrace his steps to the Stronghold of Talus, Find him, and uncover the true nature of Radigunds schemes
TIPS
Friends & foes around every corner
Bianca can find a lot of people to speak to on her quest, keep an eye out, they can trade useful items with you and give you helpful advice, but be warned, not all of them will have your best interests at heart
keep an eye out!
there are many secrets to find and many treasures to be found if you them out, be suspicious of every weird shrub and dead end as you never know whats hiding just out of sight, fire and explosives are your friend, but not even those will be enough to find everything, keep an open mind and think outside the box
Weaknesses and Hidden abilities
while you are venturing there are many things you can learn that can make your experience significantly easier, many enemies have weaknesses and exploits that you can take advantage of if you experiment and learn to be resourceful, and many of the tools you find have hidden synergies with your moveset and other items. just one more reason to heed advice from allies.
Note from the Dev
This is a Prequel to my game in Development "Sheep Lass: & the Tower of Radigund" it was initially drafted as a Demo with unique content then i tripped and it became its own massive labor of love with its own unique mechanics. im so sorry.
i also really do recommend Keeping a notebook handy for this game! while i don't know that id say its unplayable without one, it was designed around the enjoyment i got out of playing very old retro games and randomizers with a notebook and pen. so sincerely, it would mean a lot to me if you at least attempted to play that way, before just winging it, or worse, letting an online guide do exploration for you
