Mabel is a recent high school graduate with not much going on in her life—until her old friend Will called and turned everything upside down. She’s quiet, smart, and kind, always willing to help others!

Will is a skilled mage who was born with a special bond to fire and water magic. He’s an old, close friend of Mabel and is deeply focused on finding the legendary book. He’s been obsessed with it ever since him and Mabel learned about it in a high school history class. He might not always think things through, but he never gives up!

Nyxra is said to be a prophet destined to restore balance in the land of Cascade. Since birth, her guild has trained and prepared her to find the legendary book and its four crystals. She’s mostly distant, obsessive, and tends to overthink—but maybe her journey will help her relax a bit.
