Chronicles of The Lands
Fog descends, plunging large areas into darkness for years, the sun is shining no brighter than the moon at night. Cold and poor harvest set in, causing starvation, disease, and mass pestilence. Man-eating animals and mythical creatures appear. Robbery and lawlessness reign. The migration of peoples begins, accompanied by many wars for survival.
World of The Regiment
The heroes of the game will have to find their way in this new world. To unite people and lead them to prosperity, to bring order to the lands or vice versa - to plunge them into more chaos. And if the gods are angry, you should run to the lands untouched by darkness or you should seek answers to the reasons for their disgrace. So, armed with myths and legends, daredevils set out on a difficult journey to gain great power that can to overcome the spreading evil...
Battle
The weapon and shield in your hands can take many positions. Where they are physically placed is where they physically protect you. Your weapons may bounce off your opponent's blade and armor, get stuck in his body, or cling to his equipment. React to your opponent's actions and unexpected weapon bounces. Break and melt your opponent's defenses, but don't let them break yours. Characters with magical powers will further diversify their tactics of victory by using not only destruction, but also, for example: creating shields and weapons in space. Inflicting damage to different parts of the body and organs affects the creatures condition and abilities differently. And the principles of the elemental's body structure will be completely different from human, take this into account in battles.
4 years of solo prototyping, then 3.5 years of production by a small indie team... And now Order of Renewal is getting ready to launch mass tests and early access.
It will feature:
- A physics-based multiplayer combat system that is the most elaborate part of the game. The real feeling of sword and shield in your hands, full control.
- A procedurally generated story system develops scenarios in a session-based cooperative PvPvE mode. Characters' objectives on the map are asymmetrical, depending on their situation in the current scenario and the player's choices. The world of the game and its events will unfold gradually. And it won't be easy to corner your opponent and win, because he may have a powerful patron - another player!
- The duration of the game session is 10-30 minutes or more, according to the player's interest in a fun short match or a game with a longer immersion.
We regularly add new features from prototypes and fix old ones:
- Detailed damage system and creatures body structure.
- Shooting and magic.
- Movement and stealth.
- Inventory and gear system.
- Monsters skilled in swordsmanship and traps with mechanisms to activate/deactivate them.
- Game maps with procedural generation.
