Main Character
Kanade (VA: Yuko Natsuyoshi)
A half-human, half-alien girl who loves to sing. She hopes to save the world through song in place of her alien mother, who isn't there to do it anymore. Honest, kind-hearted, and always polite, she puts her all into everything she does. However, her unfamiliarity with Earth as a half-alien sometimes shows itself in ways that surprise those around her.
Story
In the near future, a sudden proliferation of plants has left much of human civilization drowning in greenery. Yuuto is a boy living in a city that's now largely reclaimed by nature. One day, a girl named Kanade appears on his doorstep.
The two had been exchanging letters after she found one of his carrier pigeons.
"I have to sing the greatest love song and save the world in my mother's place.
So, Yuuto-san... Would you please fall in love with me?"
Warmly watched over by those around them, the two tentatively begin their exploration of love. What neither of them realize is that a spark of affection has already budded between them...

가볍게 즐길 수 있는 힐링 연애 스토리. 플레이타임은 짧지만 깔끔한 주제와 기승전결을 갖추고 있다. SF 요소가 있는데 본격적인 SF는 아니고 치밀한 스토리보다는 감성과 분위기가 중점인 작품. 히로인 카나데의 성격과 더불어 작품의 전체적인 분위기가 굉장히 순수하고 낭만적이기 때문에 이런 감성에 공감하고 몰입할 수 있는 사람은 이 작품을 좋아할 수 있을 것이라고 생각한다. 마지막으로, 카나데가 귀엽다. 많이.
대사 넘기는 속도에 따라 6~8시간 정도로 짧게 즐길 수 있는 비주얼노벨입니다. 작품 내에 치밀한 스토리 전개가 있지는 않고, 짧은 러브스토리 한편 보는 느낌으로 보시면 좋습니다. 이런 류는 히로인이 별로 안예쁘거나 호감형이 아니면 하기가 참 어려운데.. 다행히 예쁘고 귀엽고 성격도 좋고 참하십니다. 좋은 속성은 다 몰빵해준 느낌인데, 오히려 이런 류의 히로인이 싫으면 안맞을수도 있습니다. 그래도 짧게 하루만에 즐길 수 있으니 스토리에 큰 비중을 두지 않으시고 별 부담없이 즐기고 싶으시면 괜찮을 것 같습니다.
이유 모를 식물의 이상증식 탓에 온 대지가 녹색으로 뒤덮여 버린 지구. 그리고 노래로 세계를 구하려는 한 소녀의 이야기... 플레이 타임은 비주얼 노벨 치곤 꽤 짧은 편. 그래서인지 심오한 스토리를 기대하기는 어렵다. 노래는 사쿠라의 시 작곡가 분이 참여한 만큼 상당히 좋았다. 전체적으로 나쁘지 않았던 작품.
■ 카나데 □ 밝게 뻗어가는 허밍을 껴안으며 피규어 퍼블리싱으로 유명한 굿스마일 컴퍼니와 비주얼노벨 개발사 프론트윙이 공동제작한 노벨 게임으로, 아소 에이가 기획 및 시나리오를 집필하였고, 유사노가 일러스트 및 캐릭터 디자인을 담당하였다. 식물이 급속도로 번식한 대녹화 현상으로 인해 인류 문명 대부분이 녹음에 뒤덮인 근미래에서 세상을 구하기 위한 러브송을 부르기 위해 주인공 유우토를 찾아온 소녀 '카나데'와의 사랑 이야기이다. 5~7시간 정도의 분량이나 서사적 의미를 부여한 느낌이 아닌, 굴곡이 없다시피 한 편안한 분위기이다. 목적 있는 끌림으로 만나며 로맨틱한 발전 속에 사랑을 확인하고 맺어지는 스토리는 짧고 간결하다. 카나데라는 천진난만 긍정 캐릭터의 매력은 물론, 奏(かなで)라는 제목처럼 공들여진 OST도 꽤 좋은 편이다. 지구를 구해야 한다는 과정은 예측할 수 있게 흘러가면서 섬세한 부분마저도 감정적 요동이 덜하다. 여러 조연 캐릭터에게는 조명이 비치지 않고 진행되며, 흥미로운 세계관 구축을 위한 묘사도 충분하지 않았다. 카나데라는 매력적인 캐릭터를 보여주기 위해 설계되었으나 그 잠재력을 끌어내지 못한 노벨이지 않았나 싶다. ··· 【 ★★☆☆☆ 】
