In the Obscurity State Demo, you will play as one of the marauders who has ventured into an abandoned city in search of a mysterious artifact. Your main objective in the demo is to retrieve this artifact and escape the city. Additionally, you can complete personal quests based on what you encounter along the way, interact with other players through in-game voice chat, and experiment with the fire-starting mechanic to ignite the environment and enemies.
The gameplay takes place within a location featuring several residential blocks with small interiors and a large local hospital building, all designed in the style of a 1990s American provincial town.
This demo has been released to gather as much feedback as possible about our project, address shortcomings, and consider suggestions. So don’t hesitate to comment and share your thoughts!
You start the game alone. You don’t know exactly where you are, and you have no idea who you might encounter along the way. What to expect from another marauder — does he have a weapon? What are his intentions? — all of this will determine whether you become allies or enemies.
Someone has ensured that stealing the artifact won’t be easy for marauders like you. Use a lighter and a canister of fuel to achieve your goals — burn everything and everyone in your path.
Monsters and items change their locations in every game session — you can never be sure what awaits behind the next door or around the next corner. The dense fog covering the city makes things even more difficult, limiting your ability to navigate. So be ready to rely on your intuition… or sheer luck.
FULL GAME
In the full version of the game, we will add:
The ability to play with up to 8 players
An in-game store where you can purchase useful items, skins, and character animations using in-game currency
Randomized locations for each new game session
A unique sound propagation mechanic that will affect your strategy and playstyle
