NOODS (Niche Operators Orchestrating Desktop Shenanigans) is part productivity tool and part virtual buddy, featuring a helpful digital companion that lives on your desktop and transforms lonely grinds into cozy work sessions.

Niche Operators

Say hello to your new virtual buddy! These “desktop roommates” are happy to hang out on your PC and see what you’re up to, lending a hand with pomodoro timers, to-do lists, and a way to block distracting apps. Your first Operator (in Early Access) is the retro-inspired and lovingly hand-animated Lily; a raccoon gamer girl who is as dedicated to keeping you company as she is at cracking her own high scores.

Make Custom Operators in NOODS Maker

Switch between Operators with different looks, personalities, and habits (Premium Operator Store coming soon!) Choose the one best suited for the task at hand, or the one who you want to toss around like a ball- we won’t judge you.

Check out NOODS Maker*, the companion app to create your own Operator from scratch:

*note: NOODS and NOODS Maker are two separate apps on Steam

Stay Focused

Part idle clicker, part virtual buddy, Operators have many useful abilities to lend you a hand in your daily tasks; timers, schedules, and more to come! So keep an eye out for upcoming releases. Designed to keep you focused and facilitate your real-life tasks, your Operator is just the right balance of subtle and functional to provide what you need, when you need it.

• To-Do Lists

• Pomodoro and Timers

• Screenshots

• Stopwatch and Alarms

• Blocklist and Focus Mode

• Chill Out mode (for when you don't want to worry about having your windows stolen)

• Cross-computer syncing (via Steam)

A Little Spice

You won’t get away with slacking on your Operator’s watch: Lily has been known to give her input on ALL of your activities. Keep your important windows out of her reach, and let her help you stay productive! Or else.

• Uses your desktop as her personal playground- climbing, swinging, and sneaking around as she pleases

• Window destruction (at your command)

• Window theft (at your peril- better not get distracted doomscrolling!)

• Comments on your activities (little raccoon, big personality)

• Hidden minigame(s)

Shimeji and Clippy inspired, but better! (actual functionality!)

About the Studio

Glossbird was founded in 2022 with the mission of creating games that make us better. We're a small indie team of developers and artists who deeply respect the craft of making games/apps. That said, we have chosen to not use AI in our products. Our Operators value your hand crafted art, your privacy, and the environment, just like we do.

NOODS is our love letter to nostalgic desktop companions and to the old-school communities sharing art with each other.
