Upon introduction in 2009, the 40CC was claimed to be the most powerful single-engine diesel-hydraulic loco in the world. Produced by the Voith Group, this six-axle loco is rated at a hefty 4,800 horsepower/3,600kW, drawing on the manufacturer’s experience of developing diesel-hydraulic freight and shunting locos.

This powerhouse is now available, with its unmistakable external styling, to move freight loads in Train Simulator Classic, courtesy of developers RSSLO. It comes with the safety systems that you would expect in a modern European loco, as well as three scenarios on the Holzkirchen - Wörgl route to put it through its paces.
