AxleVerdant: Exile is a roguelike survival game set on a massive island teeming with wildlife as well as hostile forces. You must use every tool at your disposal to not just survive, but triumph, against the brutal army that has come to pillage your erstwhile home.

Dynamic World

The island which once was, and with your efforts, will again be, your home is vast. It is also fully simulated with exacting detail at all times. Plants grow and die and spawn seedlings in their ageless cycles. Dry season turns to monsoon season and back again. Amphibians come and go from the surrounding ocean. Predator and prey play their deadly games. And, of course, the Company builds their forts and forces, expanding across the land like a plague. That is, unless you can put a stop to it.

Deadly Tools

The primary path of player progression in AxleVerdant: Exile is item crafting. You will craft a wide range of spears, blades, crossbows, guns, grenades, and more to turn back the invaders. Moreover you will be turning the enemy's resources against them. Sneak into or assault enemy bases to gather resources, simultaneously strengthening yourself and slowing the Company's expansion. Your affinity for your tools is governed by an extensive passive upgrade tree to further customize your character and playstyle.

Real Time Roguelike

AxleVerdant: Exile as inspired by traditional roguelikes, with deep strategy, crafting, and itemization mechanics. Unlike traditional roguelikes however, it features real time gameplay. Your enemies do not rest, and they gather their strength and hunt you ceaselessly. You must do the same.

Optional Permadeath

While permadeath is the intended way to play, for players newer to roguelikes this is entirely optional. There are different settings for death penalties and respawn mechanics for those who prefer a more forgiving and less punishing experience.
