Atomanta

is a retro-styled vertical shoot 'em-up inspired by various Mega Drive and arcade titles from the '90s. In this game, you step into the role of Taria Takara, a space pirate on a mission to recover a highly valuable artifact hidden on the planet Azavuraz. Armed with the powerful Atomic Manta warship, Taria finally has a chance to claim the bounty and pay off the debts from her previous handlers.

Gameplay

Atomanta consists of 8 stages that challenge the player by gradually turning up the difficulty to the point of becoming a bullet hell. The game is focused on combining elements from old-school shmups with some modern improvements such as a tiny glowing hitbox, higher mobility, a focus fire that is attached to the main weapon, and no inertia.
The player may also choose a weapon selection at the start of the game that can be upgraded with power-up options throughout the game up to 6 times. The Atomic Manta has also special bombs that can cancel bullets and deal massive damage on the screen.

There is also a game rank that determines if you've made a perfect clear, a perfect run requires the player to not lose a life and clear all of the enemies in the stage, those who can achieve this goal will be rewarded by the end of the stage.

Atomanta will also include an endless horde mode that will act as the ultimate challenge for those who want to push it to the limit.

There's up to two possible endings that the player can achieve depending on how well they've performed!

Weapons and SecretsThere are a total of three beginning weapons that the player may choose from the start. The blue sapphire weapon acts as a single-lane fire and decent spread with normal damage output, or if you prefer more spread, then the green emerald weapon is a good choice, however, it deals less damage. Lastly, there's the ruby weapon that has the highest damage output but the shortest range for the players who want to get up and personal.

Those aren't the only weapons that the player will come across during gameplay, there will be a few surprises hidden.

- Supports Xbox, Playstation, and third-party controllers but mainly focuses on Xbox users.
