DEMO (update with new demo)

After much demand, the Tumbles Demo is now available for players outside conventions. This demo contains:

• 8 possible evolutions

• 2 skills maximum per path

• The first Forest Floor section of the game, both in level design and narrative.

• Wind and Rain Elements

• Assist modes

• Any major updates to convention builds will be available after conventions but will not include convention-only challenges.

Not included:

• Bounce flowers, Predator obstacles, customisation, Areas above the forest floor, achievements, full controller support, and more

This demo represents a work in progress and not a finished product.

GAME DESCRIPTION

Launch your caterpillar around using a catapult-like motion to bounce off walls and flowers, be pushed by the wind, slide across wet leaves and avoid obstacles.

Launch your caterpillar around using a catapult-like motion to bounce off walls and flowers, be pushed by the wind, slide across wet leaves and avoid obstacles.

As you reach higher into the canopy, you will face more difficult jumps, boss caterpillars, birds, and more to overcome as you sling yourself through the layers of the rainforest. Each jump could get you closer to the light or risk a tumble of even greater proportions.

Explore the poetic narrative of the struggles of reaching from the depths of darkness in search of freedom and light. Inspired by the struggles of overcoming PTSD.

Each time you choose to build your cocoon, there is an increasing chance of evolutions affecting your next caterpillar. Will you be a different colour, have a more bouncy body, or have tunnel vision? What combinations will you have, and will they help or hinder your next climb?

Collecting Lychees along the way can be used to develop your skills along 4 different pathways or pay off boss caterpillars to use their shortcuts… If you haven’t already scared them off.

Restarting is part of the game, whether trying again after a big tumble for different evolutions, a different pathway or trying to beat your fastest time, unlock beautifully crafted achievements. 

In Tumbles, every climb can bring you further through the climb you have faced before or challenge you with a combination of evolutions and pathways. Will you make it out from the forest floor and into the light, or will this climb be cut short as another cocoon in the darkness?
