Two lost souls awaken, trapped in cages deep underground. Suddenly freed by an earthquake, they set out to escape the underworld. With no memory of their past, they ascend a towering dungeon, solving puzzles and battling demons to unlock each new floor representing a deadly sin domain. As they climb, fragments of their past return - they were once soulmates during their mortal lives. However, one fatal choice bound them for eternity in the spirit realm. They were tricked by an ancient entity. Now they have to redeem themselves and defeat their eternal warden. Will revenge save them from this curse, or will they accept their fate?

Spirits constantly explore sin domains riddled with environmental puzzles and platforming sections.

Every Chapter is a separate domain based on the Seven Deadly Sins and has a key mechanic that is only present in said chapter - this drives all puzzle and combat design within that domain.

Completing all 7 chapters is the main goal in Wish for Eternity.

HARMONIZE

Blue harmonizes objects to repair and control them for puzzles and safety.

OVERCHARGE

Orange overcharges objects, turning them into weapons that break through obstacles and clear enemies.

VIRTUES

Upon chapter completion, the Spirits are granted a Virtue, the opposite of the Sin they just defeated. The received Virtue unlocks new spiritual powers or upgrades existing ones. Unlike key chapter mechanics, unlocked Virtues carry over throughout the entire game.

Spirits engage in combat using their weapons and abilities, with sin-themed enemies blocking their ascent. Finally, they confront the Deadly Sin in an epic boss battle.

The Lantern

At the end of each chapter, the spirits retreat into their magical Lantern - a cozy, safe haven that expands as the story progresses, unlocking new activities and spaces to decorate.

Lantern activities:

• Playing and interacting with small toys and objects

• Customizing the characters & decorating the interior

• Rewatching collected memories & highlights of the gameplay

• Exploring newly unlocked rooms
