The Pyatykhatky – Dnipro route runs through central Ukraine, connecting the town of Pyatykhatky with the major transportation hub of Dnipro. The route is approximately 120 km long. The line is electrified with 3 kV DC and has two tracks along its entire length.

The journey begins at Pyatykhatky-Passenger station, a major railway junction. The train then moves eastward, passing through Zhovti Vody-1 and Vilnohirsk, which serve the industrial centers of the region.

The next stops are Krynychky and Pravda, located in the steppe landscape of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Here, the railway runs parallel to the highway, passing through small settlements.

Before reaching Dnipro, the train stops at Balivka and Sukhachivka stations before arriving at the major railway hub – Dnipro-Main. This is the final destination of the route, providing connections to Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, and Odesa.

The route features a flat terrain with slight elevation changes. The line is of great importance for both passenger and freight transport, particularly for the transportation of ore, metal products, and other industrial goods.
