The /R Original Video Game Soundtrack was composed by the Amazing Doctor Tentacles using a variety of instruments and objects to create an oppressive, menacing atmosphere. The album took about two years to perfect and has themes of ambience, terror, dissonance and discordance. The sounds on this album include:

• Growling, snarling analog and FM synthesizers, many played in real time

• A honky-tonk piano that is over a century old

• Tibetian singing bowls with vibrations at war with one another

• Flea-market keyboards distorted beyond recognition

• Lo-fi samples twisted beyond comprehension

• Digitally degraded sound files from a 20+ year old hard drive

• Bizarre unconventional percussion including springs being strummed in an attic

• Chiptunes composed on a Nintendo DS system

• Haunting choirs and backwards-run speak-and-spells

• The voice of my daughter's late cat

• Live orchestral samples provided by the Philharmonia Orchestra (UK)

• And much much more

This album was designed to invoke maximum discomfort with every sound twisted, bent, modulated, decayed and misconfigured into a horrifying musical mass (well, most of it). You have been warned.
