초대 x-wing시리즈의 최종판. 물리효과가 사실적이고, 지금기준으로 뛰어난 그래픽은 아니지만, 필요한 정보는 충실히 표현되어있다. 영화의 고퀄리티 BGM이 그대로 쓰인 부분도 개인적으론 높게 평가하고 싶다. 임무 역시 짜임새 있게 잘 구성되어 있으나, 캠페인의 난이도가 매우 높아 많은 연습이 필요한 편이다. 트레이닝이나 역사적미션 등에서 충분히 연습할 수 있으니, 차근차근 성장한다는 느낌으로 도전해보면 좋을듯 하다. 임무를 효과적으로 완수했을시 훈장을 획득가능, 계급이 올라가는 요소가있기에, 앞서 말한 성장하는 느낌을 충분히 체감할 수 있다.
