You fall from the sky and land on a strange island where a talking fire is your only lifeline to survival. Each day you explore deeper and each night you fast-travel back to camp to craft and ask the fire to share its 10,000 years of survival knowledge.

Before long, you realize the world of Akiiwan holds even greater secrets. You must explore deeper to unlock the lore of the land and mystery of how you arrived here, while also building your base, gathering your stores and preparing for the harsh winter that will soon be upon you.

Made by an Indigenous-led team from Canada, Akiiwan aims to bring new depth and surprise to this genre, with new survival skills, deeper crafting and gameplay that is really deep, but also really chill. Played in first person, accelerated realtime, each game day is a phase of the moon, and each night is a chance to chart your own path of survival, with the help of your fire.

In funded development since 2023, we are entering open development and actively recruiting survival crafting fans to play new builds and help shape the game as we move towards launch in 2026.
