In Blackrock, you are the last line of defense - a Commander of the Blackrock Containment Force (BCF). Your mission: stop the spread of a sentient meteorite known only as the Blackrock, before it corrupts the planet entirely.

Dropped into hostile terrain with only a portal, a shard generator, and your launchpad, you’ll need to summon and command units called Bravelings — autonomous fighters born to resist the Glimmergrubs, the grotesque minions spawned by the Blackrock.

Story Development Status:

The core narrative and world of Blackrock are actively in development.
While the foundation of the story, factions, and setting is already established, the full narrative experience is being expanded step by step.

New story segments, characters, and contextual events will be added over time, further revealing the origins of the Blackrock, the role of the BCF, and the greater threat behind the corruption.

Story development is tightly integrated with gameplay updates, ensuring that new narrative content grows naturally alongside mechanics, environments, and progression systems.

Sidenote:

Blackrock originally began as a small learning project to explore coding, game design, and the possibilities of GameMaker. Over time, it steadily grew into a larger experience - one that continues to evolve.

This is a long-term passion project, developed and expanded step by step.

Development is ongoing, with regular updates, gameplay improvements, and new features planned.
