When installing the English demo of TOGATSUNAGI Chapter 1, a bug may cause the Japanese version to be installed instead.

As a solution, we are currently integrating an in-game language switching feature and unifying the builds.

This implementation will take a little time. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

As a temporary workaround, the English version is available on itch.io.

Please search for “TOGATSUNAGI”, and it should appear in the results.

Additionally, we are currently contacting support to request changes to the game title localization.

About This Game

This is a story-driven 2D action fantasy game where you fight against approaching monsters by switching between a female swordswoman protagonist and a musketeer protagonist.

Emphasis has been placed on character illustration, featuring a cast of unique characters.

It is planned as a continuation with a total of 4 chapters. What is currently released is the prologue, in other words, a demo version.

Ultimately, it is planned to have multiple endings.

This work is created with RPG Maker MZ and has a playtime of approximately 2-3 hours.

It contains grotesque elements. Please be advised if you are sensitive to such content.

Story

The righteous nation of Hyuiria(pronounced: Hyoo-I-ria), home to people who worship the goddess of justice Hyustiria(pronounced: Hyoo-STI-ria), had long protected its citizens from the monstrous beings known as Mamono by using the magic-imbued device called the Magic Conduit to project a barrier across the entire country.

However, one day, someone forced the Conduit to shut down, causing the barrier that covered the nation to vanish and allowing Mamono to enter freely.

During this turmoil, the protagonist Rinka, who had set foot in a foreign land in search of her younger brother, reunited with her childhood friend Ryu, who happened to be visiting the same country. But before they could understand what was happening, the two were caught in a sudden Mamono attack and lost consciousness.

When they awoke in an unfamiliar place, the one who appeared before them was their former friend Alto.

The two learned that everything that had happened was orchestrated by him—and that he had bound them with the Power to Link Lives, a force that caused them to share each other’s wounds, pain, and even their very life.

The only way to reactivate the Conduit and break the bond placed upon them was to kill their once-beloved friend Alto.

Though hesitant to kill a friend, Rinka and Ryu pursue Alto to save the nation and free themselves—but in doing so, they slowly begin to witness the true nature of the so-called “nation of justice.”
