World by Word: Adventure

The word-by-word-powered world (literally, every your word = energy) to take adventures on hot air balloon and build settlements (city builder) to play alone or with friends on the same device. How far your curiosity and thinking will take you?

WORDS ARE EVERYTHING

This game is a mix of word game + adventures on hot air balloon + some city building mechanics.

The gameplay heart is simple - to make any action (get fuel, build building, fly etc..) use the last three letters of the previous word to create a new one and entering words will keep your journey going.

HAVE ADVENTURES WHILE LEARNING

The vision is to build an open world and have journeys in that world while learning / remembering new words in native or foreign languages - basically to have fun while the brain will study:)

BUILD & FLY

In this world you can:

  • fly over landscapes in hot air balloon and research surroundings

  • build your own settlement - or settlements to support your journey

  • fight with different, tricky and ever changeable weather, especially wind

  • research technologies to discover new buildings, improve hot air balloon

  • customize character you are playing

TWO MODES

If you have:

  • limited time - play “just fly” mode without any complications of full game.

  • little more time - play “build & fly” to have technologies tree, create buildings and more complex control of hot air balloon. Progress always saved, so it is safe to abandon game for while and return to it to continue.

PLAY TOGETHER ON SAME DEVICE

Currently game supports playing on the same device on turn based manner - each player plays after another (about 10 people in the game).

One word = one action.

The idea is not compete with each other, but help each other - because you are all traveling together:)

GAME EVOLUTION
I’m developing every mechanics suited specifically for the vision of the game - to make the playing time fun and educational.

Some of them passes test of time and works well. Some of them are not - and will be modified and removed. Every mechanics released has its own error & trial process, and some of the features are based on feedback of the people.

Therefore my promise is quite simple - to evolve the game over time to fit the vision even if it will be played only by small community:)
