You play as Valerie, a young but highly skilled marksman, a horde sweeper. She arrives at a new place, remote outpost near an old, abandoned city teeming with monsters. Each day, she ventures into the city, clearing its streets of zombies and mutants, and occasionally chats with the shelter's warden, an old horde sweeper named Den.
