Mutant Gate is written on its own ASCII engine, its 4-hour campaign featuring a multitude of scripted sequences within 2D, Doom-style levels. There's also an option for hybrid ASCII/tile visuals. The game auto-detects Steam Deck and supports its controls.

이정도 감성은 있어야 레트로 아닐까? 레트로팔이 게임들에게 일침을 넣는 게임이 아닌가 싶음. 그냥 단지 구식이고 고전게임 복제한다고 레트로가 아니라 옛날 감성을 살리면서 새로운 게임일 필요가 있다는거. 보통은 레트로풍이라면서 개성도 없는 카피겜 만들어놓고 개발비도 뻔히 보이는데 다른 대작 인디게임급 가격에 파는데 이 게임은 가격적인 부분에서도 양심적임. 아니 혜자라면 혜자라고 할수있을 정도. 물론 이런게임이니만큼 기대 할수 있는 상한선은 있기마련이고 레트로풍에 관심 없으면 재미는 없을수 있음. 애초에 머드게임급정도나 Rogue 정도의 게임이라...
