The Winterreach Emporium Demo is a standalone preview of the upcoming cozy-fantasy shop management game set in the frosty peaks of the Winterreach Range. This demo invites players to experience the foundation of the shopkeeping loop that defines the full game. You’ll open your small mountain shop, stock magical ski gear, and serve a mix of fantasy customers while learning the rhythm and flow of running a business in a living, snow-covered village. The demo focuses entirely on the day-to-day management experience, giving players a clear sense of the game’s atmosphere, style, and core mechanics.

In this demo, players will manage a single operational day from morning until closing. The playable area includes a compact version of the Winterreach shop interior, featuring limited space for shelves and customer activity. Three customer races—Humans, Gorrvash, and Jaderyn—are represented, each with basic browsing and purchasing behaviors. The player can stock items, assist customers, and complete sales at the checkout counter. The available inventory includes a small selection of ski-related gear such as basic skis, poles, boots, and wax. One staff member can be hired to help with stocking, offering a glimpse of the staffing system without introducing complex management layers. The goal of this demo is to highlight the tactile joy of stocking and selling, rather than long-term strategy or expansion.

Certain systems that will appear in the full version of Winterreach Emporium are intentionally not included in this demo. The playable content ends after the first in-game day, and there is no day-to-day progression, research, or store expansion. Dynamic and seasonal events, research trees, story encounters, and meta-progression systems are not implemented. There is also no save or load functionality—progress resets when the game is closed. This ensures the demo remains a focused, stable showcase of the core gameplay loop and user experience.

The demo supports single-player mode only and is currently available in English, with all user interface text and menus localized in English. Keyboard and mouse are supported, while controller input is not yet available. Audio is limited to environmental sound effects and ambient tracks, with no voice acting. The demo runs on Windows PC and supports resolutions up to 4K with an unlocked frame rate.

The full version of Winterreach Emporium will include a wide range of additional systems beyond this demo’s scope, such as multi-day management with financial reports, dynamic and seasonal events, a research and store-upgrade tree, multiple staff roles, and expanded customer diversity. However, none of these features are currently available in the demo build and should not be listed as part of the demo’s feature set on the store page.
