My name is Yìshí. Today is September 20. I woke up late this morning and was about to be late, so I decided to take a shortcut to save time.

In the snack street I saw a cute girl frowning and looking troubled — her backpack had gotten stuck in a tree. I climbed the tree to get it down for her. The girl's name was Qiu; she was the head of our school's Literature Club. I was both surprised and delighted.

At noon, after basketball, I went to the locker room to change clothes and accidentally walked into the girls' locker room. By chance Qiu was in there too. Just when things were awkward, the locker room door suddenly locked!

We had to wait where we were, trapped, and we hadn't even eaten. Qiu fed me the last candy in her pocket; in that moment I fell in love with her and, overcome with excitement, I confessed. By the time we were rescued, we had become a couple.

After school, tonight it started pouring rain! I decided to go to the Literature Club to find Qiu and walk home with her — it was on the way, and I was worried she'd catch a cold.

I waved to her and dashed over, but a car came barreling through and ran me in half. Clinging on with only my upper body, I held Qiu. I heard her crying; she shouted that she wanted to turn back time.
