What the Hell is Going On? (Someone broke existence again. It's okay, these things happen)

That's where you come in! You've just been hired as employee number one at the only Reality Repair Co. in the cosmos, run by a reformed eldritch horror who'd genuinely rather be painting than killing. Restore broken realities, keep the office from descending into madness, grow the business and climb the most horizontal career ladder in existence.

Repair What Now? (Bits of reality that went kaboom!)

When a pocket of existence gets accidentally erased (the wizards botched another spell or the military presses the on button in a recovered UFO) it leaves a void. Your job is to fix it. Armed with a reality-paint gun, you reveal and explore voxel environments one trigger-pull at a time, piecing together what was lost and discovering what actually caused the cataclysm.

I want more stuff! (And so we added collectibles!)

Putting reality back exactly as it was when it imploded isn't smart, so you'll need to clear out any cosmic anomalies to avoid repeat mishaps when reality finally reboots. Which, conveniently means you get to take some cool stuff back to the office!

The Boss (Kind, understanding, breaker of worlds)

Your boss is Cthulhu, one-time unmaker of worlds, now an entrepreneur in the cosmic disaster space and a deeply patient art instructor with an unsettling yet soothing energy. He guides every job, shares disturbing insights into what you uncover, and calls the shots around the office. He'd lend a hand, but his hands are far too big to hold a reality-paint-gun, so think of him as moral support with an expense account and a love of antiquated processes.

Sanity First Employer (Manage the office well or weird stuff will happen)

Sure, Cthulhu's turned over a new leaf, but exposure to him still has insanity-inducing side effects. He stays behind his giant stone doors to limit contamination, and the office is also fitted with all manner of insanity-reducing objects and rituals. As his best and only employee, keeping them running is your job. Trust us: you don't want to let the insanity filters clog up!

Turn it Off and On Again

The Agency's computer system is Cthulhu's best attempt at state of the art technology, which to be fair it was in 1995. VOID OS is where you read briefs, file reports, check email, and access the office chat room, alone... at least until you grow the business. The boss doesn't trust wifi because he says he can see it and it looks at him funny, and wires are a trip hazard, so no one is quite sure how anything actaually works, but it saves on IT costs. Cthulhu insists on hard copy for the important stuff anyway. You can't sign a pdf in blood, as he is fond of saying!

Stuff Broke, Please Help

Jobs usually come from the Ministry of Existential Affairs, which is responsible for the smooth running of all things that technically exist. When the Ministry detects a new void, which pop up regularly like cosmic potholes, they send over a brief and Cthulhu pins it to the job board. They have an extensive list of perpetrators, a who's who of paranormal accidents. Your boss is relieved to be slipping down the rankings.

Rumour has it there are competitors eyeing the reality repair market, so staying the Ministry's preferred vendor will take some doing. Though as your company gains renown, and more chairs, you may well find the culprits coming to you directly, looking to avoid any Ministerial entanglement.
