Runestone Keeper가 선녀로 보이는, 지루하고 따분한 유사 카드게임 하나의 던전은 여러 종류의 카드가 섞인 카드뭉치로 이루어져 있다. 던전을 들어가면 몬스터 카드들은 죽이고, 포션이나 공격력 버프 우유는 마시고, 화염구 같은 마법도 쓰고, 돈을 벌면서 새로운 무기 및 방어구를 사면서 모든 던전을 다 깨면 되는 카드게임이다. 스크린샷에 보이는 그림체가 마음에 들어서 세일할 때 샀었지만, 이 게임을 다 깨고 나서 내 선택을 후회하게 되었다. 크게 5가지의 결점이 있는데 : 1. 전략성의 부재 게임 태그에 전략이 있지만, 막상 전략 게임이라 쓰기에는 게임 내 보이는 전략성이 초라하다. 물론 카드 뭉치의 카드 순서를 바꿔서 몬스터나 포션의 배치를 조절할 수 있다. 문제는 배치를 바꾼다고 캐릭터에게 큰 이득을 주지 않으며, 2번에서 보일 결점 때문에 후반부로 갈수록 귀찮아서 배치를 바꾸지 않는다. 또한, 전략성을 강조하기 위해 가끔 카드가 뒤집혀 있거나, 혹은 몬스터들이 원거리 공격을 하는 경우가 있다. 그런데 이런 요소들이 캐릭터에게 큰 위협이 되지 않고, 결국 던전을 클리어하려면 모든 카드들을 뒤집어야 하기 때문에 그냥 던전의 시작부터 끝까지 지루한 클릭의 연속이다. 2. 난이도의 부재 위에서 말한 Runestone Keeper도 이 게임의 고질적 문제점 - 전략성을 강조하지만, 결국은 모든 타일을 밟아봐야 하며 배치의 중요성이 거의 없다 - 를 안고 있다. 그런데 그 게임은 그래도 난이도라는 게 있어서 긴장감을 가지게 된다. 이 게임은 중반부만 들어서도 캐릭터의 체력이 너무 많고, 무기도 강해져서 긴장감이라는 게 증발한다. 공격력이 강한 몬스터에게 운 나쁘게 2대를 연속으로 맞지 않는 이상 죽을 일이 없다. 죽는다고 해도, 던전당 1번은 부활을 해서 이어할 수 있다 ! 이 정도면 제발 죽지 말라고 캐릭터에게 절을 하는 수준이다. 3. 재화 인플레이션 초반부에는 새로운 무기 및 방어구들을 사느라 돈이 부족한데, 중반부만 가도 돈이 썩어넘친다. 물론 이 게임은 로그라이크가 아니라 스테이지들로 이루어져 있어서 레벨 노가다를 할 수 있긴 하다. 그런데 노가다를 안 하고 모든 스테이지를 1번씩만 깨도 금고가 넘친다. 도대체 누가 경제 조절을 이렇게 못했는지 모르겠다. 4. 모바일 게임이 생각나는 퀘스트 배치 게임을 하면서 총 3개의 퀘스트가 주어지고, 이를 깨면 새로운 퀘스트가 추가되는 시스템이 존재하는데, 대부분의 도전과제가 이 퀘스트와 관련이 있어서 자신이 원하는 퀘스트를 얻기 위해 리셋을 하는 경우가 있을 것이다. 문제는 퀘스트의 진행도는 저장되지 않으며, 퀘스트를 개별적으로 바꿀 수 없고 무조건 3개를 같이 돌려야 해서 매우 불편하다. 차라리 게임 내 전체 퀘스트를 하나의 리스트로 정리해서, 게임 시작부터 모든 퀘스트에 대해 진행할 수 있도록 개편해야 한다고 생각한다. 5. 에러 게임 중반부에 Corona Error 가 뜨면서 계속 강종되길래, 게임을 지우고 다운로드 캐시를 지우고 재설치를 몇 번이나 한 진상짓을 벌여야 했다. 게임이 나온 지 1년이 넘었는데 에러 좀 고치지... 결론적으로, 가격 대비 분량은 ㅆ혜자일 수 있으나, 재미는 절대로 가격에 상응하지 않는 유사 카드게임이다. Book of Demons도 그렇고 제발 카드게임을 만들거면 좀 재미있고 실제로 카드를 쓸 일이 있는 게임을 볼 수 있었으면 좋겠다. 수정) 5번에 나온 코로나 에러는 핫픽스로 인해 고쳐졌다고 한다. 그래도 게임이 지루하고 재미없는 건 변하지 않는다.
