This world is made up of three spirits and one living spirit circulating spiritual power. The spirits that govern the time of morning, noon, and night share equally the spiritual power released by humans, the living spirits, thus an eternal equilibrium is maintained.

The spirits, bored with the balance of the world, began to plan how to outwit the other spirits. The main character, Kenbishi Naito, has no idea what is going on in the world of spirits. He actually has the highest spiritual power of any human being in existence, and one day, princesses are sent to him from each of the spirit worlds.

The princesses were all vying for him, saying "Please give me your spiritual power."
