Yuzuki Mikage, possessed by Hell Girl Ai Enma, receives a letter before summer break from former classmate Asuka Kanbayashi in Himeuma Village. There she reunites with Asuka, befriends shrine maiden Ayumi Shinosaki and the village chief's son Haruto Kusao, and learns of the local legend of another Hell Girl, Rui Rikudō. However, the next day, the chief is found dead with a straw doll, and the village elders are terrified.
